We will offically be 38 weeks tomorrow. I went back to the doctor on Wednesday and I had not dilated at all. He said I may be thinning just a little but there is definitely not much going on! :) SO, I feel like we're in for a long couple of weeks but I could be wrong! We talked with our doctor on Wednesday about induction (just so we're prepared) but he seemed to think we were a few weeks away from even considering that. I'm hopeful that Walker will decide to come on his own because the induction does not sound like fun!
Tomorrow starts my last week of school before maternity leave so I'm very excited about that. We have a field day on Friday so I'm kind of hoping that will send me into labor! :) And there is a full moon this Monday night/Tuesday morning (tomorrow) but my doctor didn't seem to think that would matter...we'll see!! I sound like I'm eager for him to be here but I really am ok if he waits another week (or two). I am feeling really good, considering I'm carrying around another person in my belly. I get tired very easily and am exhausted by the end of the day but that's about all. I have some swelling in my hands as of this week so I can't wear my rings anymore but that comes and goes throughout the day so it's not too bad. I'm fortunate enough to have made it this far with no swelling so I'll count my blessings! I mainly just swell if I get hot, which seems to be more frequent, so I keep the windows open and fans running at all times. I can't imagine being pregnant in the middle of the summer!! Our bags are all packed and the nursery is ready so now we just wait. I plan to start walking every day this week in hopes of helping Walker out just a little. I walked pretty frequently throughout my pregnancy but the further along I got, the less I walked for fear that it would send me into pre-term labor. But now that we've made it this far I'm hoping walking will speed things up just a little. Again, we'll see...
All in all things are going well. I still feel Walker moving around more and more but now they are more like squirms then the big gymnastic moves he was doing. And when he kicks me they sometimes hurt. It definitely feels like he's running out of room in there! But all those kicks and squirms are so reassuring! Please continue to keep us in your prayers in the next few weeks. Hopefully we'll have a baby before too much longer...
