Eating meat for the first time

Here's a picture of Walker (taken a few weeks ago) when he ate meat for the first time. I think he likes his daddy's cooking! :)

My 4 Teeth

This is Walker's new "cheesy" grin. He does it all the time and will even do it back if mommy or daddy do it to him! And this is a great picture of his 4 teeth.

My new seat...

Walker got this racecar track for Christmas. It spins around and you put cars on it and they go around and around and then down a ramp. For a month now he's just watched it go around and tried to climb on it. He kept looking at it like "man, that looks fun!" Well he finally attempted to take it for a spin. Needless to say, it didn't spin with him on it! :)

10 months

Walker is now 10 months old and SO MUCH FUN!! He is developing such a personality and is such a joy to be around. He definitely keeps us on our toes these days. He is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything and walking around everything. He now points to things and loves to poke at your face. He says mama and dada, though not always to the right person, but I really think he's learning to tell the difference. He is quite stubborn and loves to test the limits that we set for him. He's also learned to express his dislike for something that we do or won't let him do. He often responds by plopping down on his bottom and waving his hands around while pouting. He loves our storm door and will play in front of it forever just so he can look outside. He continues to love "school" and they say he is so happy all the time. He is such a loving little boy and will now "hug" mommy and daddy sometimes and he will give kisses occasionally. Since he is so mobile now he really resists being held at all which makes mommy a little sad. It seems like just yesterday that he would sit in my lap and be completely content. Now when you pick him up he just wiggles to get down. Pretty much the only time he's still is when he's taking a bottle or right after he wakes up or is going to bed.
On the eating front, he continues to eat very well. We eat fruits, veggies, yogurt, cheese, crackers, cheerios and now some meat. He is feeding himself more and this results in quite a mess on the floor every night...but he's eating so I'm not complaining. We have dropped one bottle and he's done well with this. We did have to up his food intake quite a bit, though. He's also doing better with his sippy cup and will drink/chew on it during meals. He will even drink a whole 6 oz. from it if we hold him and give it to him like a bottle. His sleep continues to be about the same. He goes down at 6:30 and gets up about 6-6:30. His naps...I've just learned to accept that he's not a long napper. At school he only naps once a day and at home he'll nap about an hour in the morning and (maybe) an hour and a half in the afternoon. No matter how consistent we are he is inconsistent with his naps so we're trying to just let it go and be flexible (which is really hard for mommy!). We also have 4 teeth now. This results in him biting his finger while eating which causes a few tears. He also grinds his teeth now which makes us cringe!
We are in full party-planning mode for the big 1st birthday. I can't believe I'm even planning a first birthday party already. Everyone says it just flies by and they weren't kidding. I look at pictures of him when he was born and can't believe it's the same kid. Noone can prepare you for the whirlwind of emotions you exprerience as a parent but it's so worth it. It's the most amazing feeling in the world and we're loving every minute of it.
