Like Father, Like Son

Since he was born, Walker has scrunched his toes like this. We kept wondering where he got it from until one night we noticed that his Daddy had his toes scrunched up the exact same way. In fact, as I type this his daddy is sitting with his toes scrunched up in just this same way. It's too cute!! I can't wait to see what other traits he picks up from his daddy. I may have my hands full...

My Favorite Toy

Walker LOVES his exersaucer. He could bounce all day in it. He even eyes it when he's at home if we haven't put him in it yet. He is so happy in this thing, therefore we get the best smiles while he's bouncing away!

5 Months Old

The official 5 month picture.

This month he was much more mobile and it was a little bit of a challenge to get a picture of him sitting still and smiling. Therefore, I've included some outtakes because I think they're so cute!

Our sweet baby boy is now 5 months old. He has developed such a little personality and is so FUN! He weighed 14 lbs. 12 oz. at his last appointment and was such a trooper with his shots. Some of his likes include: his exersaucer, baths, being tickled, being talked to, talking and making loud noises, anything he can put in his mouth, rattles, his bumbo, jumping on anyone's lap, looking around at everything, cereal, bananas, sweet peas, green beans, carrots and apples. So far we haven't found anything he won't eat. He now eats cereal twice a day, has a fruit with breakfast, and veggies for lunch and cereal and a veggie for dinner. We're also down to 4 feedings a day. He is getting so big and seems like a new kid every day. And there's not much he doesn't like. He is SO laidback and easygoing. He sleeps through the night most nights. He's also now able to roll over onto his tummy from his back and from his tummy to his back. Recently he started rolling onto his tummy at night during his sleep but he won't roll back onto his back. And he also proceeds to get his arm and/or leg stuck in between the slats in his crib. He's scared us a few times when we look at the monitor and can't see him becuase he's flipped onto his tummy. One night mommy tried to roll him back on his back and before I could make it to the door he had flipped back onto his tummy again. This is, of course, stressing mommy and daddy out!! But thank goodness for the Angel Care movement monitor...it's been a huge relief for us! I highly recommend it for any new parent. Walker now smiles and laughs all the time and can grab at all his toys and wiggle himself around to reach toys that are out of his reach. He's quite mobile for a kid that can't crawl!! He can also sit with some support and has even sat for a few moments by himself before he slowly topples over. He is such a joy to be around and we can't wait to see what he does next. I thank God for all the milestones he's reaching!!
