33 Weeks

We are 33 weeks, 6 days today. Time is flying by!! We had such a fun day yesterday. All of mommy's friends from college had a shower for her. It was so fun to visit with everyone. And Walker will be one well-dressed little boy that's for sure!

We had our 33 week check-up on Wednesday. Everything looks good and his heartbeat was strong! We have another appointment on March 9. At that time we'll have another ultrasound to see if Walker has turned. If he hasn't, the doctor will discuss our options with us. Most likely that will mean c-section. If he hasn't turned by that point, it's unlikely that he will. And, of course, with every week that goes by he is running out of room to turn so we'll see what the ultrasound shows. Mommy and daddy are fine with either type of delivery as long as he gets here safe and sound! Everything else is pretty much going along like normal. Mommy is getting bigger and Walker is moving around more and more and getting stronger every day! We can't believe we only have about 6 weeks left until he gets here! We also have 3 more showers coming up so that will be fun as well! Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

31 and 32 Weeks

I realize I have been a slacker in posting lately and I really have no excuse...other than the fact that I'm more tired these days and I'm in major nesting mode. I finally thought to have Jon take another picture today of my belly at 32 weeks since we'll be 33 weeks tomorrow!! I can't believe we only have 7 weeks left until our baby boy is here (give or take some, I'm sure!). In my last post I stated that I didn't think my belly could get any bigger...well it has and I'm sure it will continue to do so. Exhibit A is the most recent picture taken today at 32 weeks, 6 days in the green shirt. The one in the leopard print dress was taken at 31 weeks. I will say, however, that maternity shirts are not that flattering. No matter how cute the shirt is on the hanger, when you put it on you will automatically gain at least 10 pounds. Or that's what I'm telling myself anyway! :) Anyway...I am now in the awkward and hard to get around stage of pregnancy. I can no longer see my feet unless I bend over (which is uncomfortable) so everyday things like picking up something off the floor or putting on my socks or shoes are now becoming a major chore! However, if that is the least of my problems, I'll consider myself VERY blessed.

All in all I am feeling great. I feel him move all the time now and those movements get harder and stronger everyday. Now I can look down at my belly and see my whole stomach move when he really gets going. Today I was laying down and I sat up and my belly was lopsided....apparently he had settled in on one side. It was the neatest thing to see. Jon's also been able to see him move several times. He really gets going at night but I also feel him off and on more during the day too. I can't tell yet if he's turned but I can tell he's getting longer and bigger because I can feel movement at the top and bottom of my belly at the same time. He is also an early riser which means that mommy is now an early riser! It's the greatest feeling in the world to feel him moving around....I am so thankful that I've gotten to experience being pregnant! We go back to the doctor this Wednesday for our 33 week check-up. Please keep praying that all goes well.

30 Weeks

We have finally hit the 30 week mark! I can't believe that we only have 10 more weeks until our sweet little boy gets here! I feel great...just getting very big! I can't imagine my belly can get any bigger but I feel sure it will. We've been crazy busy with school lately plus mommy had a case of the stomach bug on Sunday. Not so much fun when you're pregnant!! But all is well now and we're just trying to get things done before he gets here! This week we've been able to see major movement in him. Several times when I looked down at my stomach I have seen an arm or leg poke out...it was so neat! And I can feel his bottom a lot during the day. It's neat to see how much stronger and bigger he is getting. Also, today we came home to find that his carseat and stroller had arrived, a gift from some of our family. Daddy was sweet enough to immediately get it out of the box and put it together! We just love it! Now they will officially let us bring him home from the hospital!! :) And speaking of hospital, we have started getting things together that we want to take to the hospital. Daddy picked up a few things to put in our hospital bag the other day so we're slowly getting that ready. All in all, things are going well and we're just trying to get everything taken care of before he gets here. We can't wait! We go back for another check-up on Tuesday...keep praying for us!
